Toronto Tension Escalates: Teenager Sought in Vicious Downtown Stabbing Incident

Toronto authorities seek 18-year-old suspect in connection with downtown stabbing incident that resulted in injuries to two individuals. The incident occurred near Queen Street West and Bathurst Street in the early hours of a Friday in August when a physical altercation led to one victim being stabbed and another person who intervened being assaulted.

The suspect, identified as Bruna Fernandes Martins, 18, of Toronto, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. Martins is wanted on charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and two counts of not complying with court-ordered conditions.

Described as five-foot-six with a slim build and long, wavy dark brown hair, Martins was last seen wearing a light-yellow crop top, white sweatpants, and white flip-flops. Images of the suspect have been released, and authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating her.

Toronto police are encouraging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the search for Martins.
