A daring jewellery store robbery in North York has led to the arrest of five individuals, one of whom is only 12 years old. Toronto police reported that on August 19, a group of suspects armed with hammers smashed into a store, stole jewellery, and fled in a stolen vehicle.
Fortunately, police swiftly apprehended the suspects and recovered the stolen items. Among those charged are a 25-year-old, a 19-year-old, a 16-year-old, a 15-year-old, and the youngest, a 12-year-old. The charges include robbery with an offensive weapon, disguise with intent, possession of stolen property, and possession of a weapon.
In a unique twist, the 16-year-old faces an additional charge for failing to comply with a release order.
