Metro Vancouver Transit Police tell CityNews that Broadway/Commercial SkyTrain Station and surrounding businesses were evacuated Sunday afternoon due to a police incident.
Police say that just after 12:30 p.m., they received a call from an unknown person “which involved threats of an explosive device” at the SkyTrain station.
“Several Transit Police Explosives Detection Dog Teams are currently on scene,” Const. Amanda Steed said just after 1:30 p.m.
TransLink says the station has reopened.
“This investigation is ongoing and a suspect has not yet been identified,” Steed said.
