Police in New Westminster are investigating after two people covered by white sheets burgled a seniors’ care community building early this month.
On Aug. 9, the New Westminster Police Department says staff at the facility on Colborne Street near Clute Street reported the overnight theft of electronics.
CCTV footage shows two suspects, inconsistently wearing white sheets over their heads, struggling to push the equipment on a wheelchair and another trolley through the front door.

Police say many of the stolen items have been recovered, but investigators are now asking for help identifying the suspects.
The first suspect is described as an approximately 30-year-old man with brown shaved hair, and a right forearm tattoo sleeve. He was wearing a blue shirt, grey shorts, brown sandals, and a red and black Toronto Raptors backpack.
The second suspect is described as an approximately 30-year-old woman with shoulder-length blonde hair. She was wearing black and white wedge-style sneakers, a green Adidas ball cap, a grey patterned top, a pleated mini skirt, a black cross-body purse, and glasses.
“These seniors use this equipment to make music together,” said Communications Officer Hailey Finnigan.
If you recognize the suspects, you’re asked to contact the New Westminster Police Department by calling 604-525-5411.
