Police in Mississauga made significant seizures during a recent traffic stop, resulting in the arrest of three individuals who are now facing a total of more than 20 criminal charges. Peel Regional Police revealed that the incident unfolded when officers stopped a vehicle in the Matheson Boulevard and Sismet Road area.

Upon searching the car, law enforcement discovered a loaded Glock 17 handgun with an extended magazine, along with a quantity of illegal substances. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Luqman Khandid of Mississauga, was found to be in possession of the illegal firearm and drugs, despite not having the proper permits.

Shortly after, another traffic stop on Matheson Boulevard East, near Satellite Drive, led to the confiscation of a loaded compact Glock 27 firearm from one of the vehicle’s occupants. Both individuals present in the vehicle were apprehended by the authorities.

Subsequently, 20-year-old Liban Abdillahi from Toronto was charged with seven offences related to the incident, while Abdullahi Ali, also 20 and from Toronto, faced charges as well.

All three suspects were taken into custody and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing.
