Tragic End: Two Fatalities Confirmed in Quebec’s Mauricie Region Plane Crash

Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a plane crash near La Tuque in Quebec’s Mauricie region, as confirmed by provincial police authorities.

The incident occurred on a Sunday around 5 p.m. in a remote forest close to Highway 457, where local residents stumbled upon the wreckage, which had ignited. Sgt. Camille Savoie, a police spokesperson, informed that the victims were declared deceased at the crash site.

The retrieval of the bodies necessitated the use of a police helicopter. As of the following Monday morning, the cause of the crash remained undetermined.

Authorities have disclosed that investigations into the fatalities are being carried out by both the Quebec coroner’s office and Canada’s Transportation Safety Board.
