A tragic incident unfolded in Richmond Hill as an 11-year-old girl lost her life in a fire suspected to have been intentionally set.
Authorities responded to the fire in the early hours of Monday near Skywood Drive and Rolling Hill Road. Inside the house, four individuals were found unconscious, with one victim discovered outside the residence.
Paramedics attended to the five injured individuals, transporting them to nearby hospitals for urgent care. Sadly, the young girl succumbed to her injuries on September 2nd.
The remaining four victims, ranging in age from 20 to 70 years old, are currently in critical condition as the investigation unfolds. The case has escalated to a homicide inquiry as officials suspect arson. The Fire Marshall’s Office is actively involved in the investigation.
As of now, no information regarding potential suspects has been disclosed.
