Tragic Waterfall Incident in B.C.: Two Women Dead, Man Vanishes After Hiking Catastrophe

Search teams have located the remains of two hikers following an incident where a group of three individuals reportedly fell into a waterfall close to Kimberley, British Columbia.

The Kimberley RCMP received an alert from a GPS SOS signal indicating that three hikers had tumbled into the water near Meachen Creek Falls on Monday.

A 68-year-old woman’s body was recovered by authorities at a point roughly halfway down the falls.

In a recent update on Wednesday, law enforcement shared that search teams have discovered the body of a 35-year-old woman, with efforts underway to retrieve her.

While a 35-year-old man is still missing, authorities presume he has passed away, and search operations persist to locate and bring him back.

The British Columbia RCMP has stated that there are currently no suspicions of foul play surrounding the tragic deaths.
