Shortly after 6:30 p.m., the company announced that the Spirit of British Columbia’s scheduled 5 p.m. departure from Swartz Bay would be delayed in reaching Tsawwassen due to the ongoing rescue effort.
Passenger Ozzy Oliver captured the unfolding events in a video shared with CityNews, where announcements of a person overboard were heard, prompting swift action from the crew.
