A serious crash has led to the closure of Highway 1 between Hope and Yale on Friday morning. Authorities, including Cpl. Dave Noon from the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service, are conducting investigations, and the reopening time remains uncertain.
This highway closure coincides with the shutdown of the Coquihalla Highway due to a wildfire. Additionally, there is an ongoing blaze near Highway 3, the primary connection between the Lower Mainland and the Interior, as confirmed by the BC Wildfire Service, which currently does not endanger the highway.
