Several households in East York had to be evacuated on Monday evening as a residential fire extended to a neighboring house, according to officials.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Victoria Park Avenue and Yardley Avenue, slightly above St. Clair Avenue, shortly before 6:00 p.m.
Reports indicate that the fire escalated to a neighboring property, leading to the evacuation of several homes in the area. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries.
Authorities, alongside emergency responders, are currently present at the location. At the same time, Yardley Avenue has been shut down from Victoria Park Avenue to Barron Road.
