Toronto police have apprehended a 50-year-old suspect linked to a series of break-ins in The Annex neighborhood.
The investigation was launched following a report from The Annex Business Improvement Area (BIA) about multiple break-ins that had gone unreported.
Authorities claim that between July 15 and September 7, the individual in question unlawfully entered 12 different business premises, specifically targeting cash registers and point of sale systems.
Manuel Sousa, a resident of Toronto, was taken into custody on September 7 and now faces a total of 12 charges including break and enter and commit, break and enter with intent, as well as breach of probation.
Sousa is set to make a court appearance on Wednesday.
