Luc Rabouin, the leader of Projet Montréal, has unveiled a bold plan that could shape the future of Montreal if he emerges victorious in the upcoming mayoral election. Rabouin announced at a press conference that, if elected, he intends to implement a hiring freeze within the City of Montreal until the year 2029.
During the announcement, Rabouin emphasized that maintaining the current staffing levels would lead to streamlined operations and enhanced municipal effectiveness. “Projet Montréal is dedicated to ensuring that by 2029, the City of Montreal will not have a single employee more than it did in 2025,” Rabouin stated confidently.
