An individual sustained serious injuries in a shooting incident that occurred at a Surrey park during the night, according to authorities.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) responded to the incident at the parking lot of Bear Creek Park situated on 88th Avenue and 138A Street shortly after 9 p.m. following a report of a shooting that took place after a confrontation between two distinct groups.
The injured man was transported to a hospital by acquaintances. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, as confirmed by the police.
The SPS has provided a description of the suspect who fled the scene in a grey sedan. The suspect is identified as an adult male with a short beard, wearing a black turban, and dark-colored attire.
Authorities are seeking any witnesses or individuals in possession of CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward by contacting the SPS at 604-599-0502 and mentioning file 2025-79990 (SP).
