Two individuals waiting at a bus stop found themselves in a frightening situation when a vehicle veered off the road and collided with a hydro pole on a Saturday evening, according to the Surrey Police Service (SPS).
The incident occurred at the bustling intersection of King George Boulevard and 76th Avenue, prompting a swift response from law enforcement just before 6:30 p.m.
Both pedestrians sustained injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, with one in serious condition.
SPS confirmed that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene following the accident, while authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
