Authorities are searching for a mother who allegedly took her infant to Russia and failed to return to their home in Innisfil, Ontario.
The South Simcoe Police launched an investigation after the infant’s father reported that the mother had traveled to Russia with their daughter to visit relatives in March 2025. Despite residing with both parents, the mother reportedly made no efforts to bring the child back to Canada.
During the police inquiry, the father sought legal action through family court and obtained a court order demanding the mother to return the infant to Canada and his custody. However, the mother did not adhere to the court order and did not attend the court hearings.
Tegmina Konstanovna Agadzhanyan, 40, is facing charges of abduction in violation of a custody order and failing to comply with a court order. An arrest warrant has been issued for her, and the investigation is ongoing.
