Mild Tremor Rattles Haida Gwaii: Residents Feel the Earth Move

On Monday afternoon at 1:45 p.m., residents on Haida Gwaii experienced the ground trembling beneath their feet. Emergency Info B.C. reported that a minor earthquake measuring 4.3 in magnitude occurred 75 kilometres west of Daajing Giids. Fortunately, quakes above 4.0 are typically considered mild and rarely result in any significant damage. There is no risk of a tsunami resulting from this seismic activity.
