Police in Abbotsford are looking into a recent incident involving gunfire aimed at a home and the torching of vehicles early Monday.
The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) received reports of two vehicles ablaze on Eagle Peak Drive near Alamo Heights Drive at 4:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found two parked vehicles in flames in front of a house. Further inspection unveiled that the residence had also been hit by gunfire.
Fortunately, the occupants were inside at the time and were unharmed.
Investigators are seeking witnesses or any video footage related to the incident and encourage those with information to contact the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225.
While no direct link has been established to prior crimes, a similar event occurred last week in the Aldergrove/West Abbotsford area, where a home was shot at and vehicles were set on fire at a business on Peardonville Road.
