A man from Montreal has been charged by Toronto police years after allegedly breaking into a Toronto residence and sexually assaulting a woman.
The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the Ossington Avenue and College Street area, when officers were alerted to a break-in.
According to investigators, the victim was asleep in her bed when the perpetrator entered her home and committed the assault.
Jose Galvez Espinoza, aged 40, was apprehended by authorities on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in Montreal. He is now facing charges of break and enter and sexual assault.
It is important to note that these are merely allegations and have not yet been proven in court.
