Online Car Sale Turns Deadly: Peel Police Report Neck Stabbing During Test Drive by Fraudulent Buyers

Two Windsor Men Arrested for Attempted Murder During Car Sale Gone Wrong

Police in Peel Region and Windsor recently apprehended two individuals after a disturbing incident unfolded during what was supposed to be a simple car sale. The two Windsor men, identified as Simranjeet Singh, 22, and Parteek Ehitaan, 20, are facing charges of attempted murder, robbery, and aggravated assault following an altercation that occurred during a test drive.

The victim, who had listed his Dodge Challenger for sale on Facebook Marketplace, arranged to meet with potential buyers on May 10, 2025. Little did he know that the encounter would take a dangerous turn. During the test drive, one of the supposed buyers brandished a weapon, threatened the seller, and ultimately stabbed him in the neck when he refused to comply.

After the suspects fled with the stolen vehicle, the victim was rushed to a trauma center for treatment of his serious injuries. Fortunately, law enforcement located the car in Windsor the following day and were able to apprehend the suspects on September 11.

While the investigation is ongoing and the allegations against Singh and Ehitaan have yet to be proven in court, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers associated with online transactions.
