Authorities in East Vancouver are currently examining a tragic incident where a pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver on Thursday morning. The Vancouver Police Department responded to the scene at the intersection of Victoria Drive and 12th Avenue after receiving reports of the collision at approximately 6:15 a.m.
The victim, a man in his 60s, was given immediate medical attention at the site but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The driver involved in the accident has been identified and cooperated with the authorities at the scene.
