After reports of gunfire in Montreal’s Anjou area on Thursday night, five individuals, including a teenager and young adults, were apprehended by authorities.
Responding to 911 calls at approximately 9:30 p.m., Montreal Police quickly arrived at the intersection of Joseph-Renaud Blvd. and Wilfrid Pelletier Blvd. Although no shell casings or projectile impacts were found at the scene, witnesses provided valuable information to law enforcement.
According to SPVM media relations officer Jeanne Drouin, witnesses shared details about the suspects and a vehicle involved in the incident. Subsequently, around 10:30 p.m., officers located the suspect vehicle on Jean-Talon Street East, near Lisieux Street in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard borough.
Drouin confirmed that all five individuals, aged between 16 to 23 years old, were arrested. They were taken to a detention facility for further questioning by investigators.
