Following thorough inspections and repairs, the entire fleet of Lion Electric school buses is set to hit the road starting Monday. Approximately 1,200 Lion electric school buses were temporarily taken out of service after a minor fire incident prompted safety concerns. However, after rigorous assessments and necessary fixes, the buses have been given the green light for operations.
The Transportation Division of the English Montreal School Board released a statement stating:
“Dear Parents and Guardians, We are delighted to announce that all LION electric buses have been repaired, inspected, and approved for service. Starting from tomorrow, Monday, September 22nd, regular student transportation services will resume, with all bus routes operating on their usual schedules. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.”
