Firefighters quickly put out a fire that broke out at a popular restaurant in North York early on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at Rally Sports Bar, situated at 1660 O’Connor Drive, prompting emergency services to respond to reports of a fire just before 5:45 a.m. The situation was considered serious enough for Toronto Fire Services to elevate the alarm to a level-1 response.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the building unoccupied and swiftly contained the blaze, preventing any injuries. Toronto police temporarily shut down O’Connor Drive in both directions to facilitate the emergency response.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated to determine its origin.
