Authorities in North Vancouver are currently looking into an alleged random attack that took place at a bus stop recently.
According to the North Vancouver RCMP, a woman and her partner were waiting at the intersection of Marine Drive and Bewicke Avenue around 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 when a man approached them from the opposite side of the street and reportedly struck one of them in the face.
Although the victim sustained injuries from the assault, they were fortunately not severe enough to require hospitalization, as stated by police on Tuesday.
Despite efforts, law enforcement officers have not been able to locate the suspect, who is described as a slender man standing at 5′ with shoulder-length hair, dressed in black jeans and a grey hoodie.
Authorities are now seeking assistance from the community. If anyone has dashcam footage or CCTV recordings from the area during the incident, they are urged to reach out to the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 and reference file 25-19906.
