Scarborough-Rouge Park residents are gearing up for an important by-election to fill the vacant City Council seat left by former Councillor Jennifer McKelvie. The by-election, scheduled for Monday, promises a competitive race with a total of 20 certified candidates in the running.
On the big day, September 29, 2025, 37 voting places will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents can easily locate their designated voting venue, print or download their voter card, and familiarize themselves with the list of candidates using the convenient MyVote portal provided by the City.
To participate in the voting process, residents are required to present identification showing their name and a qualifying Scarborough-Rouge Park address. Those who are eligible but not listed as voters can register on-site on election day.
