After break on Tuesday, rain forecasted for Wednesday

Keep the umbrella handy after Monday’s downpour.

1130 NewsRadio meteorologist Carl Lam says that the Lower Mainland may receive even more rain on Wednesday.

After Tuesday’s break from the rain, Lam says the rain is set to make a return later tonight into Wednesday.

“It’s not just the rain for tonight, but it’s another round for tomorrow, and this one could be on the steadier side too,” he said.

“We’re expecting about 10 to 20mm of rain. There will be a few isolated rumbles of Thunder embedded with this as we get started with the month of October.”

The expected temperature will range from a high of 14°C and a low of 13°C on Wednesday and a high of 17°C and a low of 10°C on Thursday.

Lam warns that the weather will cause some windy conditions near the water.

“It’s just really windy in areas right by the coast. Those gusts will be between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour during the day, but tonight, right by the water, those gusts could be between 70, possibly even 80 kilometers per hour.”

The rain will stick around until Thursday.
