Toronto authorities are currently looking into a fire incident at Shroomyz, a psilocybin dispensary located on Bloor Street West that has experienced several troubling events recently.
The incident unfolded early in the morning at the intersection of Bloor Street West and Brunswick Avenue when emergency responders were alerted about a possible threat at the storefront. Upon arrival, the fire department confirmed that the fire had been swiftly extinguished by a vigilant individual using a fire extinguisher. Fortunately, no significant damage was incurred as the fire had not spread within the closed establishment at the time.
This particular address has been a repeated target, with a previous occurrence involving a truck crashing into the location in August. Additionally, a separate fire incident took place at another Shroomyz branch on Yonge Street earlier in the same month, which was later determined to be an intentional act of arson.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported from the recent incident.
The authorities are treating the latest fire as suspicious, prompting an official investigation by the Toronto police.
