Several cities in Quebec saw their representatives elected unopposed for the upcoming municipal elections on Nov. 2.
In Chateauguay, located south of Montreal, Mayor Éric Allard and his team secured another term without facing any challengers.
Meanwhile, in Montreal, Mayor Alex Bottausci of Dollard-des-Ormeaux won by acclamation as no other candidates submitted their paperwork before the deadline.
Kirkland Mayor Michel Gibson is set to begin his fourth term after being re-elected without opposition.
Similarly, in Terrebonne, Mayor Mathieu Traversy returns to office uncontested, serving a population of nearly 120,000 residents.
