The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is currently conducting an inquiry following the discovery of human remains in Pickering on Tuesday morning. The situation prompted a significant police presence in the vicinity of William Jackson Drive and Taunton Road West.
DRPS stated that their Forensic Investigative Services Unit (FIS) is actively examining what seem to be human remains. Due to this ongoing investigation, William Jackson Drive stretching from Taunton Road to Earl Grey Avenue will remain closed for an extended period.
