A serious crash occurred on a Maple Ridge road early Tuesday morning, resulting in two drivers sustaining severe injuries.
According to BC Emergency Health Services, paramedics rushed to the intersection of Laity Street and 123rd Avenue after receiving a distress call around 7 a.m.
Footage from the scene depicts Ridge Meadows RCMP officers cordoning off the area where two silver sedans were visibly damaged.
Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites reported, “Two patients received prompt medical attention from paramedics before being transferred to the hospital, one in critical condition and the other in serious but stable condition.”
In response, law enforcement officials have closed the intersection to allow investigators from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services (ICARS) to conduct their examination.
