Teen Girl Critically Wounded in Vicious Schoolyard Stabbing in Montreal

A tragic incident unfolded outside a school in Montreal on Tuesday morning, leaving a 14-year-old girl with serious injuries after a stabbing, as confirmed by the Montreal Police.

Raphaël Bergeron, speaking on behalf of the Montreal police (SPVM), disclosed that the distressing event occurred around 9 a.m. near the junction of Terrebonne Street and West Broadway in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered the girl in a conscious yet shocked state, with upper body injuries. She was promptly transported to the hospital, where she is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening wounds.

According to eyewitnesses, a suspect was seen fleeing the vicinity following the attack. Subsequently, officers successfully identified a 17-year-old male suspect and apprehended him later that morning at another school in the southwest part of the city.

The suspect was taken into custody and was slated to make a court appearance in the youth court system later in the day.
