Trillium Health Partners Consolidates Women and Children’s Health Services at Credit Valley Hospital
Starting from Oct. 8, all women and children’s health services, from labor and delivery to pediatric care, will be exclusively offered at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga. This move comes as construction for the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga hospital progresses.
Trillium Health Partners, the hospital network overseeing the transition, aims to streamline care for families and enhance specialized services. The integration promises a seamless and patient-focused experience, ensuring expert care from the dedicated teams at Credit Valley Hospital.
Expecting families post-Oct. 8 can anticipate birthing experiences at Credit Valley Hospital, where a team of professionals will cater to their needs. Notably, emergency services at both Mississauga Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital will remain unaffected, operating as usual.
For patients requiring specialized in-patient care for women or children, Trillium Health Partners assures smooth transfers to Credit Valley Hospital for comprehensive treatment and support.
In a related note, Trillium Health Partners reported a record number of over 8,000 baby deliveries last year across its hospitals, marking a significant milestone in Canada’s healthcare landscape.
The new Mississauga Hospital, set to be completed by 2034, holds promises of further advancements in healthcare facilities and services for the community.
