Burnaby Police Urge Community to Aid Search for Missing 11-Year-Old Boy

The Burnaby RCMP is seeking additional information from the public regarding a missing 11-year-old boy named Kai Pavlovic. Authorities suspect that Kai may be participating in social and extracurricular activities within the community. Police are looking to identify the caretaker with whom Kai is believed to be staying and are appealing to community members who may have interacted with him.

Specifically, the RCMP is urging adults and parents whose children have engaged in playdates, sports, or extracurricular activities with Kai to come forward. They are also seeking information from sports instructors or activity organizers who have had contact with Kai.

The authorities were alerted to Kai’s disappearance following a well-being check request on Sept. 26. Despite ongoing efforts, Kai has not been located. Described as 5 feet tall with a slim build and brown hair, the RCMP is sharing additional photos to aid in the search.

Although an Amber Alert has not been issued in this case, police emphasize that such alerts are reserved for confirmed abductions with an immediate threat to the child’s safety.

Anyone who may have information regarding Kai’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
