A violent incident unfolded in Yaletown early Friday morning, leaving three individuals hospitalized due to a series of stabbings.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, the disturbing event occurred near David Lam Park around 7:30 a.m., prompting swift action from law enforcement officers.
Fortunately, emergency responders were able to swiftly attend to the three victims, all of whom sustained injuries but are expected to recover fully. Constable Tania Visintin reassured the public, stating, “Thankfully, they will be OK.”
The perpetrator managed to evade capture by fleeing the scene before authorities could intervene. The VPD indicated that the stabbings seemed to be random and unprovoked based on initial evidence.
Descriptions of the suspect provided by the victims portray her as a woman in her late 20s or early 30s, standing between 5’3” and 5’7”, with a slim physique, long dark hair, and clad in an oversized black leather jacket, tight dark pants, and either a leopard-print shirt or scarf.
