Tragic Incident in Mississauga Claims Pedestrian’s Life
A fatal accident occurred in Mississauga on Friday night as a pedestrian was tragically struck by an SUV, resulting in the pedestrian’s passing, authorities have confirmed.
Peel Regional Police (PRP) reported that a man in his 60s was crossing at a mid-block pedestrian crossing in the Meadowvale area when he was hit by a white Nissan SUV traveling southbound on Mississauga Road from the 407.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and attempted to provide assistance, according to PRP. Currently, there are no signs of any charges being filed in connection with the incident.
Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
