Police seek man in connection with violent robbery on Queen Street West
Authorities are on the lookout for an individual involved in a concerning incident that unfolded on Queen Street West. The encounter, which took place in the early hours of the morning on October 10, saw two suspects engage in a robbery in the Queen Street West and Beverley Street vicinity.
According to initial reports, the victim was approached by two individuals while in a local park. One of the suspects brandished a firearm, while the other wielded a knife, demanding the victim’s wallet. The perpetrators proceeded to steal cash and the victim’s backpack before fleeing the scene on bicycles along Grange Avenue heading west.
The primary suspect in question is Tarone Whalen, aged 26, and currently without a permanent address. Authorities are seeking him on various charges, including possessing a firearm with a license, robbery involving a firearm, uttering threats, possession of a firearm against a prohibition order, and failure to comply with probation terms.
The second suspect is described as a male of Black descent, standing at five feet five inches with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and black pants.
