Longueuil Tragedy: Woman Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle

Tragedy struck in Longueuil on Monday evening as a woman lost her life in a car accident.

Longueuil police reported that the incident took place at approximately 7 p.m. on Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Blvd. near Cousineau Blvd. Witnesses contacted emergency services to report a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian, according to a statement by the Longueuil police on social media.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was sadly pronounced deceased.

Authorities closed a section of Route 116 between Cousineau and Édouard Blvds following the tragic event.
