The Montreal Police Major Crimes Section set up a mobile command post in Saint-Leonard to aid in the investigation of a tragic incident that took place almost two years ago. The victim, 19-year-old Samy Alioueche, lost his life in a fatal shooting on Nov. 30, 2023, at Place de Fontenelle, close to Jean-Talon Street. His body was discovered by a passerby at around 2:15 p.m., and despite the prompt response of authorities, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The SPVM established a mobile command post near the original crime location on Monday, operating from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Investigators were on hand to interact with the community and collect any valuable information that could aid in resolving the case.
