“Montreal Commuters Beware: Major Road Closures and Lane Reductions Kick Off This Wednesday!”

Montreal Drivers Facing Road Closures and Lane Reductions

Get ready, Montreal drivers! Road closures and lane reductions will be in effect starting Wednesday night, impacting Highways 25 and 30, along with the Honoré-Mercier Bridge.

Quebec’s Transport Ministry has announced that overnight work is scheduled on Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, while lane closures will be implemented on Highway 30 over the weekend.

Starting from 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, southbound Highway 25 will be shut down between exit 5 and the entrance from Île Charron until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15. Similarly, the northbound side of Highway 25 will be closed between exit 90 and the entrance from Sherbrooke Street East during the same period.

In addition, various closures and lane reductions will affect eastbound Highway 132 and De Boucherville Street northbound, among others.

On Highway 30, joint expansion work over Kimber Boulevard will lead to lane closures from Thursday, Oct. 17, to Sunday, Oct. 20, with traffic diversions in place.

The Honoré-Mercier Bridge will also undergo closures for the replacement of an overhead signage structure, with partial closures scheduled from Friday, Oct. 17, to Monday, Oct. 20.

To avoid delays, plan your travels accordingly and stay updated on any changes by checking Québec 511. Your cooperation and adherence to traffic instructions are crucial for everyone’s safety during this period of roadwork.
