A woman from Mississauga, aged 29, has been charged in connection with a recent incident of hate-related graffiti in the city.
According to Peel Region Police, the incident occurred on September 22 around 9:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Webb Drive and Grand Park Drive. A telecommunications utility box and various items in a nearby playground were found vandalized with spray-painted graffiti that contained derogatory comments directed towards the Muslim and Indian communities.
Freda Looker-Rilloraza is facing charges of mischief over $5,000 in relation to the incident. She has been granted bail under specific conditions pending her next court appearance.
Authorities continue to investigate the matter, urging anyone with relevant information to reach out to the Hate Crime Unit.
