A man, aged 31, has been taken into custody following a reported sexual assault incident in a Toronto restroom earlier this month. The Toronto Police Service (TPS) received a distress call for sexual assault on December 5 around 8:32 a.m. in the vicinity of Keele Street and St. Clair Avenue West.
As per the investigation, the female victim was in a bathroom stall when the alleged perpetrator entered the washroom and slipped underneath the door. The police claim that he proceeded to sexually assault the victim. The woman was able to flee the stall, whereas the accused made a hasty escape from the scene.
On December 9, Quinton Hassan, aged 31 and a resident of Toronto, was apprehended by the authorities. He is facing one charge of sexual assault and was slated to appear in court on December 10.
