Maple Ridge Secondary School is currently on lockdown while authorities look into a potential theft within the school premises.
Earlier today, Barrie Police announced the apprehension of two young individuals and the confiscation of a firearm in connection to the incident. Subsequently, a third youth was also taken into custody.
Law enforcement officials have assured the public that there are no additional suspects being sought, although a greater police presence near the school is expected as the investigation unfolds.
Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries, and authorities have confirmed that there is no threat to public safety.
