Montreal police looking for vehicle believed to be involved in fatal hit-and-run

Montreal police (SPVM) say they are looking for a vehicle that is believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision near the end of April.

SPVM says the fatal collision happened on around 12:50 a.m. on April 26 at the intersection of Goyer Street and Darlington Avenue.

It is believed that a grey, four-door Honda Civic, model year 2006 to 2011, was travelling eastbound on Goyer Street when it struck a pedestrian crossing the road. The vehicle reportedly failed to stop and fled the scene, travelling the wrong way down Darlington Avenue.

SPVM has released images of vehicles of a similar model to the one being sought, and is setting up an information booth at the intersection between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday, May 15, in an effort to gather more information.

Anyone who may have any information is encouraged to speak to police at the booth or by calling Info-Crime Montreal at 514-393-1133.
