Partial closure of Highway 13 in Laval till this fall, slowdown expected

A section of Highway 13 Southbound in Laval will be closed starting next weekend until fall.

Transport Quebec says Highway 13 in Laval heading southbound between Dagenais Boulevard West and Highway 440 (Jean-Noël-Lavoie) will undergo construction work as of Saturday, June 13, 2026 and expected to last several weeks through fall.

During this time, traffic will be diverted and slowdown is expected.

Highway 13, between Sainte-Rose Boulevard and Highway 440:

Highway 13 southbound lanes will be completely closed at all times.Traffic will be diverted to the southbound service road, which has two lanes.During the morning rush hour (Monday through Friday), an additional lane will be available on the opposite side of the highway (i.e., traffic will flow in the opposite direction), providing a third southbound lane. These configuration changes will be implemented between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., as well as between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., through dynamic lane management.

The right shoulder of the southbound service road will remain reserved for buses during the morning rush hour.

In addition to the work in the southbound direction, several nighttime closures are also planned in the northbound direction.

Motorists will be detoured via the service roads at reduced speeds.

Detour routes will be marked with temporary signage. Traffic congestion is expected. The Ministry recommends that drivers traveling in the area allow extra time to reach their destination.

In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, work may be cancelled or modified. Check the Quebec511.info regularly for current and upcoming obstructions.
