The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) has updated the public on a case from last September.
On Sept. 3, shortly after 1 a.m., police arrived on scene near East 6th Avenue and Fraser Street.
Officers found a man who had been stabbed.
First responders tried to save his life; however, the 54-year-old victim died at the scene.

The victim was later identified as Michael Smadu.
On June 12, VPD released a statement David Richard Morin had been charged with one count of manslaughter.
Morin remains in custody.
He has made his first court appearance and will be back in front of the courts on July 3.
