The Sûreté du Québec’s Major Crimes Unit has made an arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred in May in Kanesatake.
Bryin Canadian Whitebean, 18, was arrested late Tuesday afternoon. He appeared in court Wednesday morning at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse. He faces charges of first-degree murder.
On May 29, emergency services were notified that a young man appeared to be unconscious at the bottom of what appeared to be a septic tank on the grounds of a former school in Kanesatake, in the Laurentians region.
The fire department and emergency services had managed to extricate the man. He was then transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
