The Port Moody Police Department says it is looking for information about a hit-and-run incident Tuesday evening that left a cyclist seriously injured.
First responders were called to the area of St. Johns Street at Ioco Road shortly before 8:30 p.m., police say.
“A cyclist had allegedly been clipped by a vehicle,” Cst. Sam Zacharias told 1130 NewsRadio.
“This vehicle was believed to be a white BMW SUV, and the driver of that vehicle did not remain on scene.”
The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
“My understanding is it involved broken bones and other significant lacerations,” Zacharias said.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Port Moody police.
