Storm risk to give way to hot, sunny stretch next week in Montreal

Showers and the risk of thunderstorms are expected to linger through Friday and Saturday before hot, sunny weather settles in for much of next week.

Friday’s forecast calls for mainly cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm. The daytime high is expected to reach 22 Celsius, with a humidex of 26.

Saturday will bring a mix of sun and cloud, along with a 30 per cent chance of afternoon showers and a risk of thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to climb to 25 C, with a humidex of 30.

Conditions are forecast to improve on Sunday, with sunny skies and a high of 27 C.

The warm weather is expected to continue into next week, with highs of 29 C on Monday, 30 C on Tuesday, 32 C on Canada Day and 33 C on Thursday. While sunshine is expected to dominate, there will be a chance of showers Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Thursday.
