Gatineau Police Shaken: Officer Behind Bars for Impaired Driving

A Gatineau police officer was recently apprehended for impaired driving by Sûreté du Québec officials on July 10, as per an announcement made by the SPVG.

The officer, who was off-duty during the occurrence, is set to assume an administrative role within the police force until the resolution of the legal procedures stemming from the arrest.

The charges involve allegations of impaired driving under the influence of alcohol, as per the Directorate of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions.

The Ministry of Interior Security has been duly notified of the situation.

The officer has been released and is awaiting a court appearance in the near future.
